How to Turn On Blind Spot Monitor and Park Assist in Your Lexus GX

You know you have it, but how do you turn it on?  If you’ve ever wondered how to turn on or off the Blind Spot Monitor and/or Park Assist feature in a Lexus GX, then this quick guide is for you!

  1. Turn your GX on.
  2. Press the button on the GX steering wheel that looks like a menu icon and is located right next to the ENTER toggle switch.  See the picture above (press the button with the big arrow pointed at it).
  3. Toggle the ENTER switch up or down to flip through the different menu options displayed on your MID until you see “BSM”.

4.  Once you see BSM (see picture below), press the ENTER switch in and select the ON function.  You will know BSM is turned ON when the circle next to “ON” is filled in and you see the green BSM indicator light on your dash (see below).

5.  To turn on your Park Assist, just toggle up one spot (using the ENTER switch) to “Park Assist” and repeat the process.  You will know Park Assist is ON when the ON circle is filled in and you see the green P indicator light.
